The Occult Significances In X-Men: First Class

At the outset, let me simply state that there is nothing wrong with the “occult”. The word sounds ominous, but it simply means “hidden”. How many of us have harbored hidden secrets about one thing or another, whether it is something that we were into that we didn’t want others to know about or something we’ve done that we would rather keep hidden? Let me help you with the answer to that one. I’d say – 98% of all people in the Western world have “occult” secrets. So, to say that something deals with the “occult” is simply to say that it deals with the hidden or the mysterious. It can be said there are three levels to third dimensional existence. There is physical existence (which includes physical matter), metaphysical existence (which includes all that we cannot see), and the occult (which are aspects of the mental world that affect this plane of existence).

Well, in the case of the latest X-Men offering from 20th Century Fox, we have something that stretches beyond “metaphysics” principles to delve into the deeper “occult” mysteries. Metaphysics and the occult are not the same. A simple definition for metaphysics is “beyond the physical”, while occult means “hidden”. Something can be unseen and not be hidden. Electricity is unseen, but certainly is not hidden. Or, take for example, Marvel’s Thor, which was released just one month prior to X-Men: First Class. Thor was themed around a world that existed in another dimension – just beyond the reaches of the third-dimensional, material Universe. And, while that dimension was unseen, it certainly wasn’t hidden. In X-Men: First Class, everyone has something to hide. Secret plans, secret powers, hidden histories, hidden physical properties, and hidden places abound in this movie. That’s not to say that there are no metaphysical characteristics to the film. However, it is very clear that the primary focus of the film is the occult.

In X-Men: First Class, Charles Xavier played by James McAvery, is publishing a thesis on mutation for Oxford University. Turns out – he has a hidden power, the ability to telepathically communicate with others, to suspend the continuity of their thoughts, and to implant thoughts of his own. Meeting the shape-shifting Mystique as a child is confirmation for him that there exist other mutants like him. So, Xavier teams with the CIA to track these other mutants (who are also hiding). One only has to watch the film to see that each character has something they either wish to hide or are seeking to uncover.

Further, it is clear that those charged with writing, producing, and directing the film have an “occult” agenda of their own. A picture is worth a thousand words. And, the passive viewer, lulled to sleep by a title they’ve come to know and trust are bombarded with themes and imagery that stab at the conscious and sub-conscious mind like a searing-hot knife. The handsome, highly-intelligent, sophisticated, British-educated, moral and mentally-capable Charles Xavier is in stark contrast to some of the other American characters, who are painted as immature and uncultivated. The class-conscious creators of this film had no problem maintaining the pecking order. At the low-end sit Black cab-driver Armando Munoz (Darwin) who is the first of the X-men to fall (though likely not killed as many film-goers suspect) and stripper Angel Salvadore who is the first to side with the villains. In maintaining the pecking order, the Cubans are weak, the Russians are seen as aggressive and sex-crazed in contrast to the more sophisticated Germans, and the Americans are a little naïve.

Then, there is the ritualistic killing of the CIA agents by Satan (Azazel) for lacking the necessary sophistication to deal with “the mutant problem”. Hint! Hint! There is the British-educated Xavier who teaches the poor Jewish boy (Erik Lensherr) who has something to hide (otherwise why would he need the helmet) how to gain full control of his power. Being extremely powerful, Magneto (Erik Lensherr) is allowed to save face. However, at the deepest level of the ritual, Magneto’s character (who wouldn’t need a gun in a thousand years because he cannot be shot) is left holding the gun (smoking gun). Hint! Hint! The deepest occult significances cannot be discussed at length in this article, but please realize – movies are meant as a means to send messages, both overt and covert.

Even the name X-Men: First Class seems to send a certain “occult” message. Are they trying to say that the movie was done in “first class” fashion? It seems to say something about the position of everyone in that “first class”. Obviously, this is not the first class, as certain characters in the movie did not enter the world of the X-Men until 40 years after Stan Lee first penned the X-Men. Some of these characters are not even the creations of Stan Lee and the original writers.

And, this brings me to another point. The movie skips through time and merges real history with the imaginary. As the brain tries to make heads or tails of all this, we are hit with the more subtle messages being sent in the film. One might say – it’s just a movie. And, you know what? Maybe that’s all it is. Maybe there is a one in eight-hundred, quintillion probability that the hundreds of things I noticed in the movie are merely circumstantial. I would simply like to lastly point-out that no one (in their right mind) is going to spend millions of dollars in making a movie without ensuring that the message they want to send be sent. And, that (to me) is one the deepest “occult” significance in movies –bar none. In most cases, the writers, producers, and directors of movies are painting a picture of the world they see or the world they would hope to see, with high hopes that you will embrace (or at least be found in agreement with) that vision. In the case of X-Men: First Class, it is a vision I chose to begin to forget the second the screen faded to black.

Meta-Report: Signs of Things To Come

MeRt052511: We simply have to consider that the tornados in the mid-west may be a sign of things to come. Perhaps, this is a two-fold warning:

1. Stop adding energy (in the form of agreement) to war, killing, violence, the taking of and shortening of human life and the destruction of mother Earth.

Or

2. Get the hell out of dodge, because hell is erupting.

All this was prophesied to occur long ago. And, with the passing of generations, the full details of these prophecies are often forgotten. We can never be totally certain (of when), but we must begin to feel the current of life and where those currents are leading us. Perhaps, this is just an unusual tornado season. Perhaps, it is something more.

Very soon, I will be posting information on relative "safe-zones" in the United States and why it may be within people's best interest to migrate to these areas. Don't say it cannot be done. People gave up their jobs and homes to travel the country handing out fliers. So, it can be done. Again, much is lost with the passage of time, but history records great migrations to the West and to the North. The time will soon come when we will have to migrate to places of relative safety within America.

Judgment Day Passes: Now What?

Turns out – the Apocalypse (or Judgment Day) on May 21st, as predicted by Harold Camping of Family Radio, did not come to pass. However, the gateway that was opened with Mr. Camping’s prediction carried with it significant negative energy due to the attention and frustrations of the masses who attuned themselves to the frequency of his prophecy. As the United States drew closer to the 6PM EST hour on 5/21, the energy began to intensify. This resulted in a portal being opened. The energy in that portal opening was further intensified by the fact that 5/22 was a (9/11) and (11/11) gateway. Further, while Camping’s promotion of his numerological predictions purposed a date and time, the antithesis of his prophecy was also realized in the form of the words “No man knows the day or the hour.” No stronger are those words than when any pre-purposed apocalypse event fails to present itself. Further, 5/22 was a Mayan calendar portal day, a day of planetary alignment, and a day of historic ill-omen. With all that energy, 5/22 carried the real force of negative energy and possibility that a catastrophic occurrence might result.

I couldn’t imagine anything of consequence occurring on 5/21, given the gateway was placed at 6PM. I put the gateway at 6PM on the 21st to about 6PM on the 22nd, with the most intense period being in the early morning hours of the 22nd. There were reports of tornadoes in Kansas and Reading in the early morning hours of 5/22. This, to me, was not completely out-of-the-ordinary. And, when 10AM passed, I was totally relieved that we were out of the red-zone period of the negative energy gateway. There would most certainly be reports of events happening here and there, but there was no catastrophic event of significance in the U.S. So, the only people who would have to deal with the Earth-shattering fallout from learning that Judgment Day did not occur would be Camping’s followers (or at least I that’s what I thought). At approximately 6PM on 5/22, as the gateway was closing, a monster tornado tore through Joplin, Missouri decimating the town of 50,000. Thus, the tail-end of this energy carried with it the intense force of devastation. There was no means of escaping this mile-wide monstrosity of nature. There was no warning and nothing in the handbook on survival could have prepared anyone for a tornado of this magnitude.

The only things left in the wake of this momentous event are the test of spirit and the lessons left to us. First, who are we? Do we have the empathy and compassion to realize that the only difference between the citizens of Joplin and us is that we were fortunate “this time around”? Will we pray for them? Will we meditate and send thoughts and feelings of love and healing energy? Some of us will. And, how will we respond to Harold Camping and his followers? Ultimately, they meant well, but unwittingly committed the sin of killing the human spirit? People with families and lives and hopes for something better gave all of that up on the chance that “the Rapture” might occur on 5/21. So many others experienced the fear and frustration of having to wonder whether they would be taken or “left behind”. And, what is to be said about Christian families and legitimate worries that their children would experience “Hell-on-Earth” until October 2011? I am certain that prediction caused many sleepless nights for “true believers”.

Still, as members of the human family, we have the right to be wrong. And, they have the right to our love and forgiveness and embrace as members of the human family. They have a right to be returned to the fold – to one day soon, once again hold their heads up in dignity. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, but they are the ones who will ultimately be forced to walk that road for a few months. They will have to pick-up the pieces of lived they left behind. It is the duty of the human family to be at the road-side with a canteen – not just because good intentions do mean something either. Yes! They were warning us. They had concern for the best part of us – the human soul. That counts for something. Still, it is the best part of us “the soul of humanity” that demands we embrace those proverbial “prodigal sons”.

So, we ask forgiveness for them. And, we take from this a lesson about the human spirit. We all have something from God – a longing to be “right”. It’s innate. It’s the part of the perfect GOD in us that demands we align ourselves with exactitude. Thing is – we live in a world of contrasts, dimensions, and subjectivity. So, we are not necessarily here to learn the lesson of being right. We are here to learn the lesson of “unconditional love and understanding”. Can you love? Can you be loveable? Can you love me when I’m wrong? Can you understand that we all err and that “to err is human”? If so, you’ve passed the test of this judgment day. And, now it’s time to study, because Earth is a classroom. And, the next exam is soon to come.

Motivating Intent

One of the most wonderful blessings afforded me in doing this work is that as I've shared with others, I've grown and developed also. So, as I sit here creating yet another forum (or platform) from which to share what I am learning, I just wanted to take a moment to share some of my thoughts and feelings on intent.

To me, it is very important that we know the intentions of various creators in their creating. That way, we reduce the chance that we fall victim to those with malicious intentions. They say - the road to hell is paved with "good intentions". Well, at the root of every intention is some motivating belief or knowledge. It is when the motivating belief or knowledge at the root of the intention is "false" that others fall victim to the outgrowth of the ill intention.

So, I guess I had better start with my motivating belief or knowledge. That way, you can determine whether my intentions are in-fact "good" and if it is best for you to spend your precious and valuable time attending to what you might find on this website. Further, you should demand that of anyone and anything that vies for your time. You are that IMPORTANT!

Well, I believe that we all have the right to empowerment through understanding and discovery at the deepest level to which we choose to endeavor. It is my belief that is is the right of every human being to gain full knowledge and understanding of the mind, the brain, the body, the soul, the spirit, civilization, the Universe, time, space, energy, consciousness, reasoning, belief, and their functioning and reason for being. I believe these to be great gifts and that we are the benefactors of these gifts and have a responsibility to cultivate these gifts and confer that cultivation to future generations.

For me, discovery is a joyous and wondrous thing. I don't want to force my experience on anyone, as others have the right to put whatever limitations on their experience they see fit. However, it is my intention to share what I've learned and experienced with the many people who would choose to benefit from this knowledge and experience. It is NOT my intention that people diametrically change in the beliefs that they hold dear. It is NOT my intention to promote any single set of religious beliefs, any one ideology, or any course of study as superior to another.
It is my intention that the door be opened to a new and more profound understanding of that which one holds dear for himself - that individually and collectively humanity might be thereby better served.

My intention is that as many as can be touched by this site come to understand that there is beauty and splendor in the multi-faceted cornucopia of religon, philosophy, science, mythology, symbology, and history that contribute to our world's many realities. It is my belief that a greater appreciation of all of it can only lead to man's advance. I decry war, hatred, violence, and intolerance, as I believe these to be the outgrowth of ignorance and fear. All that is - is allowed to be. Were it the GOD's intention that we all be of one race or one system of belief or of one understanding, it would have been so. Thus, I can only conclude that the contrast that results from diversity of being facilitates the ultimate learning experience. This is the understanding I wish to confer with Metaphysics Magazine.
